Abstract. The article systematizes and summarizes the experience of preparation and implementation of the “Fundamentals of Ukrainian Medical Terminology” elective course for the first year students at the medical faculty of I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University. The course structure is highlighted, the goal is formulated. Learning methods are defined ensuring the goals achievement, and learning outcomes are outlined.
