Abstract

Abstract. The article examines the peculiarities of the organization of teaching “Military hygiene” at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University. Changes to the educational materials of the work program on the relevant topics – placement of troops, water supply of personnel, nutrition of personnel, taking into account the specifics of provision of servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces in these areas – are highlighted. The enemyʼs rocket-bomb attacks and its use of unmanned aerial vehicles adjusted the organization of accommodation, water supply and food for the personnel of military units. Placement of military personnel in the areas of hostilities is now possible only in buildings that survived massive shelling by Russian troops and in their basements and crypts, as well as in open and closed fortifications. Instead of bed linen, military personnel use sleeping bags.

The servicemenʼs water supply is provided mainly by the supply of bottled water, which is purchased by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine and brought by volunteer organizations. They usually meet the rest of their needs from local wells.

In small units, where 10–30 servicemen serve, they prepare hot food for themselves.

Feeding of the personnel of larger units on the front line is organized according to two options. The first: the fighters in the positions consume dry rations, various canned goods, mivin, etc. for several days.

The second option (happens less often), when at a distance of 3–10 kilometers from the collision zone, in rooms or in dugouts, a field kitchen is equipped and hot food is prepared, and in army thermoses it is delivered closer to the firing positions, a few kilometers from the front line, and left in a suitable place.
