SCREENING STUDY OF PARENTS’ KNOWLEDGE ABOUT LYME BORRELIOSIS WHOSE CHILDREN SUFFERED FROM THE ATTACK OF TICKS

The aim of the work – to evaluate parents’ knowledge about Lyme borreliosis whose children suffered from the attack of ticks at the territory of Ternopil region and define the frequency of natural infection of B. Burgdorferi sensu lato of ticks extracted from citizens of the region.
Patients and methods. 207 parents were interrogated. All of them answered the questions from the uniform international questionnaire. The parents’ knowledge about Lyme Borreliosis whose children suffered from the attack of ticks has been analyzed and evaluated. The expediency of dissemination of their knowledge about this disease and other infections caused by ticks’ bites has been proved.
