The aim of the work. The study of the excipients influence on friability, resistance to crushing of tablets and disintegration of L-arginine with thiotriazolin tablets.
Materials and Methods. The studies used L-arginine (manufacturer: Sigma-Aldrich, USA), thiotriazolin (manufacturer: State Enterprise Plant of Chemical Reagents of the Scientific and Technological Complex "Institute of Single Crystals" of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine), certified auxiliary substances, both domestic and foreign production.
Results and Discussion. Dispersion analysis of the results on the abradability of tablet, strength and disintegration of L-arginine tablets with thiotriazolin allowed, based on a comparison of the average values of the studied factors, to choose the best auxiliary substances: mannitol from samples of fillers based on sugars, potato starch from baking powder samples, MCC 301 from the group of moisture regulators; from the group of binders, a 3 % solution of HPMC 2910 was chosen.
Conclusions. As a result of our research, we studied the effect of four groups of excipients on the abradability, strength, disintegration of L-arginine tablets with thiotriazolin obtained by the method of wet granulation. Dispersion analysis of the results allowed to chose the excipients that provide all the pharmacotechnological requirements for SPU tablets.
