The aim of the work. Research of the state and prospects of regional pharmacy network (PN) activity in the conditions of russian aggression against Ukraine (on the example of the chain of pharmacies "Apteka Puls").
Materials and Methods. The subject of the study was the activity of PN "Apteka Puls", which as of March 1, 2024, had 114 pharmacy establishments in Lviv and the Lviv region and one - in the Ternopil region. The following methods have been used: observation, questionnaire survey, mathematical statistics, brainstorming, complex TOWS analysis, comparison and generalization.
Results and Discussion. Through a qualitative TOWS analysis, a set of 54 factors that have or may have an impact on the state and prospects of PN "Apteka Puls" activity have been formed and substantiated. On the basis of a quantitative TOWS analysis, in which took part 43 pharmaceutical specialists (PS) of PN "Apteka Puls" took part, it has been found that among 15 threats – the decrease in the solvency of the population, full-scale russian aggression against Ukraine and monopolization of the retail pharmaceutical market by five companies and the devaluation of the pharmaceutical profession received the highest scores, among the 12 opportunities – high demand for pharmaceutical services, the government's inclusion of the pharmaceutical industry in the list of priority sectors of the economy and the program of state guarantees of medical care for the population, among the 11 weak points – the salary level of the PS does not have a significant difference compared to other PNs, the increase in the workload of the PS in PNs due to their shortage and insufficiently competitive pricing policy, among the 16 strength points – timely payment of salaries, payment for vacations and letters of temporary incapacity, convenient location of pharmacy establishments, breadth and depth of assortment, participation of PN in the government program "Affordable Medicines" and established long-term relationships with suppliers.
The balance of the quantitative TOWS analysis is positive, which indicates the possibility of improving the activity of the studied PN. With the help of a cross-analysis of the factors of the external and internal environment, the risks, challenges and comparative advantages of the prospects for the development of PN "Apteka Puls" have been identified.
Conclusions. Based on the results of the situational analysis of the activity of PN "Apteka Puls", it has been found that the most likely is a realistic scenario of its development, which consists in using a combination of those opportunities and strengths that can most likely be implemented, regardless of the possible reaction from the threats and weaknesses.
