PHARMACEUTICAL EDUCATION THROUGH THE PRISM OF NATIONAL SECURITY: ANALYTICS IN THE CONDITIONS OF FULL-SCALE RUSSIAN AGGRESSION

The aim of the work. Research from the point of view of national security of the specifics of the educational pharmaceutical process in the conditions of a full-scale war through the analysis of changes in the dynamics of the number of pharmaceutical education students.
Materials and Methods. Information notices of central executive bodies, scientific publications of domestic researchers, data of the Register of Subjects of Educational Activity (SEA) as of 23.02.2022, 23.02.2023, 23.02.2024, as well as methods: system, observation, descriptive, comparison, analysis, generalization, statistics were used.
Results and Discussion. For the unchanged number of SEA (45) for the training of junior bachelors (JB), an increase of 10.0 % (from 20 to 22) and 14.3 % (from 28 to 32) of SEA for bachelors (BP) and masters (MP) of pharmacy the number of students during the study period has decreased by 10.6 %, 42.0 % and 33.4 %, respectively. Correspondence form of study is the least typical for JB (26.4, 27.2 and 31.5 % over the three years of the study), moderately typical for BP (52.6, 47.8 and 49.1 %, respectively), and the highest typical for MP (57.2, 57.8 and 59.2 %, respectively). The small number of enrollments (up to 10 students) in 2023 for the specialization 226.01 Pharmacy was found at 15.4 % and 13.6 % of SEA for full-time and correspondence education, respectively. According to specialization 226.02 Industrial Pharmacy, this indicator for correspondence education was 50.0 %.
Conclusions. The total number of pharmaceutical SEA in the conditions of the full-scale invasion of russia in Ukraine decreased by only 1.3 %, while the number of SEA related to the preparation of JB remained unchanged and the number of SEA increased by 10.0 % and 14.3 % in relation to BP and MP, respectively. A tendency of decreasing the number of students by more than one-fourth, in particular, by educational level JB – by a tenth, BP – by two-fifths, MP – by a third. For many SEA, the number of MP applicants for the 1st year in 2023 is set to be small. It has been determined that the growth of SEA for preparing MP against the background of a decrease in the contingent of potential applicants, the academic and economic impracticality of a small recruitment will not contribute to the formation of the competencies necessary for MP to properly implement professional roles, respectively to the "ten-star pharmacist" concept, and the provision of Ukraine's national security in the pharmaceutical industry directly depends on this.
