The aim of the work. To justify the rational administration way of the substance Lactobacillus casei ІМВ В-7280 with probiotic activity into the pessaries experimental samples composition used for the prevention and treatment of dysbiotic disorders in women.
Materials and Methods. Object of the study: substance Lactobacillus casei IMB-7280 (synthesized by the D. K. Zabolotny Institute of Microbiology and Virology). According to the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine methods, the substance crystallographic characteristics and its dissolution in the following solvents: polysorbate-80, peach oil, 1,2-propylene glycol, macrogol -400, vaseline oil, glycerin, purified water were determined. Statistical analysis of the results was performed with MedStat v.5.2 statistic software package.
Results and Discussion. It has been determined that the investigated substance according to the crystallographic characteristics consists of crystals and their fragments of anisodiametric shape with a rough surface and broken edges, powder particles have the ability to agglomerate. The solubility study indicates the optimal solubility is in a mixture of purified water and polysorbate-80: reduction of agglomeration, linear powder particle size (to 0,1 µm) and uniform distribution in the medium.
Conclusions. During the development of drugs with probiotic activity to ensure high bioavailability, it is advisable to administer the substance Lactobacillus casei IMB-B-7280 into the dosage forms in the form of an aqueous solution (1:20) dissolving with addition of surfactant (polysorbate-80) with pre-grinding to 0.5–1.0 µm.
