The aim of the work. Theoretical substantiation of improving the composition of an extemporal suspension with bismuth subnitrate for use in gastroenterology.
Materials and Methods. To search for information, the methods of systemic and comparative analysis and the bibliosemantic method of studying the modern view of the pharmacotherapy of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, in particular ulcer, and the use of bismuth-containing drugs for their treatment were used.
Results and Discussion. The expediency of using active pharmaceutical ingredients (bismuth subnitrate and aerosil) as part of an extemporal suspension is considered. Analysis of literature sources showed that bismuth subnitrate has anti-inflammatory, bactericidal activity against Helicobacter pylori, as well as a vasoconstrictor effect; aerosil exhibits sorption and bactericidal activity.
Conclusions. The improvement of the composition of the extemporal suspension with bismuth subnitrate for use in gastroenterology has been theoretically substantiated.
