Abstract

Abstract. The article highlights the experience of teaching foreign students and the pedagogical activity`s problems of the discipline “Urology” found by the teachers of the Department of Surgery No. 1 with urology and mini-invasive surgery in the conditions of the credit-module system of education.

The problem of improving the peculiarities of teaching the discipline “Urology” to foreign students in the context of the European integration of educational services is becoming more and more actual. The importance of the mentioned issues is related to implementation of the Bologna process in Ukraine, involvement of international teaching experience, expansion of the range of educational services, active computerization of the learning process, as well as features of the application of innovative educational methods.

The method of teaching classes of the discipline “Urology” for foreign students is presented. The main purpose of practical classes is to study urological diseases and the features of urologist`s work. All topic tasks are designed to develop students’ communicative competences when studying the subject. For a better perception and understanding of the material during the class, students complete various types of theoretical and practical tasks using technical teaching aids and handouts to use visual (drawings, video films, diagrams), auditory (teacher’s explanation) and mechanical memory (students’ written work). The aim of materials is to form English-speaking communicative and professional competences, high-quality assimilation and active use of communicative professional constructions in professional communication.
