Abstract

Abstract. The article analyzes and an assessment of the charity of medical funds of the period of independent Ukraine, which focused on charity, assist, support and other issues of medicine. 

The purpose of creation of medical charitable foundations which was purposefulness on medical social help, protection of the person, on scientific improvement of doctors, distribution of medical knowledge, rendering of help to those who need it is analyzed.

Particular attention deserves charitable foundations that played an important role in the development and launch of new sectors of assistance, implementation of programs, in particular the All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation “Krona”, Ukraine 3000 Charitable Foundation, All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation “Heart to Heart”, Charitable Foundation “KRAN”, All-Ukrainian Charitable Foundation “Children’s World”, International Charitable Foundation “Health of Ukrainian People”, Charitable Foundation “Your support”, Ukrainian Fund of Charity “Dream to live” Society of the Red Cross of Ukraine, Charitable Foundation “Mother Teresa”.

Summarizing, we can say that the activities of medical funds among other forms of charity in the independent Ukraine became an integral and component of the system of charity in the field of medicine. 

The purpose of this article is to determine the place of philanthropy of medical funds in independent Ukraine.
