INFECTIOUS MORBIDITY AS AN INDICATOR OF THE SANITARY AND EPIDEMIOLOGICAL WELL-BEING OF THE POPULATION

SUMMARY. In Ukraine, a decrease in infectious morbidity rates is being observed against the backdrop of a declining population, particularly among children, due to forced migration; reduced access to medical care, primarily in regions where hostilities are taking place and in adjacent territories; weakening of epidemiological control over infectious and parasitic diseases as a result of inadequate sanitary-epidemiological surveillance and a reduction in the number of epidemiology specialists; and the presence of a risk of radiation contamination of territories due to shelling of nuclear energy facilities, among other factors.
