Abstract

The aim of the work – to study the changes in haemograms and biochemical blood tests in patients with newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis (NDTB) when admitted to the hospital and after two months of treatment, their connection to functional liver disorders, and to develop a correlation portrait between these quantitative values.

Patients and methods. 30 individuals were included in the study. The first group consisted of 15 practically healthy blood donors (control group), and the second group – of 15 patients with newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis, prior to the treatment and two months after start of the treatment with first-line anti-tuberculosis drugs. The study was carried out throughout intensive phase of the treatment which lasted two months. Standard biochemical blood tests were performed for all patients. The full blood exam was performed using BC-3000 Plus Auto Hematology Analyzer (China, 2007). A correlation portrait of the relationship between blood panel markers in the patients with NDTB was constructed.

Conclusions. Correlation portrait of the relationship between the markers of general and biochemical blood analysis in patients with NDTB showed that the most important are the following blood panel indicators: granulocytes, haematocrit, the average amount of red blood cells, the average content of haemoglobin in erythrocytes, and the number of platelets. For biochemical blood test, the values of AlT and GGTP were significant, and after the intensive phase of treatment, markers such as indirect bilirubin, LDH and LF.
