Abstract

The aim of the work – to determine the degree of disruption of the local immunity indices of the mucous membranes of the oropharyngeal zone in children with infectious mononucleosis.

Results. The conducted study of the level of violation of important indicators of local immunity of oropharyngeal secretion, such as tumor necrosis factor and immunoglobulins: serum and secretory, indicate that MI proceeds not only as a viral inflammation, but is an immunodeficient disease characterized by significant and prolonged changes from the side indices of immunity.

Conclusions. The material of the study was oropharyngeal secret, which was not received by an invasive method. This allows us to apply this technique to determine the degree of immunological disorders in sick children as a criterion for the effectiveness of treatment and to predict the course of the disease.
