Abstract

SUMMARY. The latest information on the relevance of
the infection, its etiology, pathogen sources and ways
of transmission, pathogenesis, clinical manifestations,
the possibility of fetal microcephaly, specific diagnostic
algorithm, nonspecific therapeutic and preventive
measures are summarized. It is indicated that antiviral
therapy and vaccines have not been developed yet.
