Abstract

SUMMARY. We examined 150 patients with newly diagnosed pulmonary tuberculosis (NDPT) and 30 healthy donors (HD). It was determined the level of interleukin-2 (IL-2) and C-reactive protein (CRP) in the serum of venous blood ELISA method. In addition, it was investigated polymorphism T330G gene IL-2 and C3872T CRP in human hennomi by polymerase chain reaction.

Before the chemotherapy in patients with NDPT, there was a significant increase in IL-2 and CRP when compared with the HD. After the two-month standard therapy was observed a significant decrease in IL-2 and CRP. High changes IL-2 and CRP was significantly associated with a mutation homozygotes polymorphism T330G gene IL-2 and C3872T CRP in patients with NDPT.

Mutation homozygous polymorphism T330G gene IL-2 and C3872T CRP, which determines the level of production of the studied parameters, is a significant factor in susceptibility to NDPT.

Key words: pulmonary tuberculosis, immunity, gene polymorphism, acutephases parameters, interleukin-2, C-reactive protein.
