SUMMARY. The article is dedicated to Professor Liudmyla Romanivna Shostakovych-Koretska, Doctor of Medical Sciences – a prominent Ukrainian infectious disease specialist, scientist, teacher, leader, and public figure whose professional life has been closely connected with the development of infectious disease medicine in Ukraine. The main milestones of her career are highlighted, emphasizing her significant contribution to the advancement of clinical infectology, pediatrics, and research on HIV infection, viral hepatitis, and other infectious diseases. Her achievements in mentoring young scientists, participation in international research projects, involvement in developing national treatment protocols, as well as her active educational and public engagement, are outlined.
