Abstract

The monograph is written on a relevant topic. For the first time, it describes the existing systems of biological security and biological protection in different countries, trends in their improvement, the role of Interpol in this regard and the information provided to law enforcement agencies. A separate section is devoted to the analysis of the current system of biological security and biological protection in Ukraine, ways to improve it using international experience, taking into account the principle of ‘one health’ for the period up to 2025 and the decision of the National Security and Defence Council of 15 October 2021 No. 668, as well as in the following terms. The monograph is written in an accessible form, the material is presented clearly and logically, with proper argumentation of the main provisions and conclusions. The publication will be useful for employees of the Security Service of Ukraine, law enforcement agencies, students of law, natural sciences and medicine at higher education institutions.
