Modern data on the history of registration and study of «Pediatric multisystem inflammatory syndrome associated with COVID-19» as a new challenge of modern medicine are described. It is emphasized that this is a new condition that occurs in children after being infected with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19). The main clinical and laboratory signs of this syndrome are given, which are the basis of the criteria for its diagnosis. Approaches to the therapy of the disease in children are outlined and the need for further monitoring of the cardiovascular system of patients who have undergone «Pediatric multisystem inflammatory syndrome associated with COVID-19» is emphasized.
