Abstract

The problem of the most acute gram-positive and gram-negative sepsis as a nosologically independent infectious disease is considered, taking into account its immune-dependent pathogenesis, symptoms, diagnosis and treatment. The clinical picture and diagnosis of septic infectious-toxic shock, as well as emergency measures in this condition are described.

A typical case of the most acute sepsis is given. The diagnosis was established primarily on the basis of clinical data. Thus, the development of infectious-toxic shock in the first hours of the disease is very characteristic. Sugillations on the distal extremities are characteristic manifestations of malignant disease. Anamnestic, laboratory and instrumental methods played a supporting role. Despite the lack of bacteriological establishment of the etiology of sepsis, the diagnosis is beyond doubt.
