Viral hepatitis C (HCV) is the second most common cause of liver cirrhosis (LC) and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) in the world. In Ukraine, about 1 300 000 people are infected with hepatitis C virus, 25 % of whom, the disease progresses over time in the LC and HCC, which is precisely what makes HCV a serious problem for the domestic health care system. The work is based on the study of the dynamics of the vitamin D content in patients with chronic viral hepatitis C deficiency and vitamin D deficiency when using colecalciferol together with antiviral therapy.
