About the Journal
Focus and Scope
Categories of readers: infectious disease doctors and researchers, epidemiologists, general practitioners, students of higher medical institutions.
Programme objectives (basic principles): systematic informing of doctors and researchers about the latest achievements in the field of medical infectology, experience and prospects of combating infectious diseases; uniting the efforts of Ukrainian scientists and doctors in the development and implementation of new methods of diagnosis, treatment and prevention of infectious diseases.
Peer Review Process
All submitted articles are reviewed. Reviewers are appointed from among well-known scientists who are specialists in the field of the article. First of all, attention is paid to the scientific novelty and correctness of the presentation of the material, stylistic and grammatical errors, and compliance with the journal's requirements for publication.
Open Access Policy
This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports the greater global exchange of knowledge.

Ethical policy
Authors/co-authors should refer to the recommendations published by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors.
All participants in the review and publication process should take into account their conflicts of interest during the review and publication process and are obliged to disclose all relationships that may be considered as potential conflicts of interest.
If the material/manuscript has been published previously, it is generally not acceptable for publication in the journal "Infectious Diseases – Infektsiyni khvoroby".
Bioethics and Malpractice Statement
The cover letter should contain information about the contributions of each person listed as an author/co-author of the article. To avoid ambiguity around contributions, the author should follow the guidelines published by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors in the Guidelines for Reporting, Editing and Publishing Scientific Papers in Medical Journals.
All procedures describing experiments using laboratory animals, any manipulations with materials obtained from humans or donors and/or patients must be carried out in accordance with the norms of bioethics.
Research reports on the results of human or animal studies must contain a statement in the Methods section that the research protocol was approved by the relevant ethics committee. The name of the committee and the decision number should follow the statement.
Submitted manuscripts must comply with the ICMJE Guidelines for the Protection of Human Subjects.
The journal "Infectious Diseases – Infektsiyni khvoroby" does not allow any scientific misconduct in any form. Sometimes unpublished/published articles may indicate violations of professional ethical codes, such as multiple submissions, fictitious claims of authorship, violation of intellectual property rights, plagiarism, fraudulent use of data, etc. The article in question (or manuscripts accepted for publication, or published articles before the violation was detected) will be rejected by the journal "Infectious Diseases – Infektsiyni khvoroby", and all authors/co-authors will be informed after the claim is supported by evidence.
Anti-plagiarism policy
The journal "Infectious Diseases – Infektsiyni khvoroby" checks all submitted manuscripts for plagiarism by independent experts and special software. We protect the rights of authors/co-authors and investigate allegations of plagiarism or misuse of published articles. The authors are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided in the articles, the accuracy of names, surnames, and quotations. Authors are responsible for the materials they submit in case of plagiarism. We also protect the journal's reputation from abuse. Thus, the journal reserves the right to reject an article for plagiarism without further explanation and take appropriate legal action.
