Anti-Plagiarism Policy
The Editorial Board of the journal Infectious Diseases (Infektsiini khvoroby) informs authors that they bear full personal responsibility for any inappropriate borrowing or use of research results from others, as well as for adhering to the ethics of scientific citation.
Authors must ensure:
- The originality of submitted manuscripts (i.e., materials that have not been published in other editions in any language);
- The absence of plagiarism;
- Proper referencing to appropriate sources whenever third-party articles or texts are used.
The journal Infectious Diseases utilizes specialized software to detect plagiarism .
The Editorial Board takes the following measures to prevent plagiarism:
- Manuscripts are screened for borrowings from third-party articles without appropriate citations;
- During the review process, a formal conclusion is made regarding the presence or absence of plagiarism.
Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and considered unethical. Manuscripts submitted to the Editorial Board are verified for originality based on the following criteria:
- Originality > 85%: The material is admitted for consideration;
- Originality 75–85%: The author must verify the accuracy of citations and references to the sources used;
- Originality < 75%: The material is rejected.
A maximum of 3% of similarity from a single source is permitted.
