Ai Usage Policy
This AI Usage Policy outlines the rules and ethical principles regarding the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies by authors, reviewers, and editors of the journal. We are committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards and accountability in all aspects of the publishing process, including the potential application of AI in handling scientific materials. This policy complies with international publication ethics standards, such as the recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and other leading organizations.
APPLICATION OF AI
Currently, artificial intelligence is not used on our website to automate any publication or peer-review processes. However, authors, reviewers, and editors may use AI in their work at their own discretion. This may include, but is not limited to:
- Using AI for scientific data analysis or as an aid in manuscript writing;
- Utilizing tools for plagiarism detection, grammar checking, or literature searches.
TRANSPARENCY AND ETHICS OF AI USAGE
We emphasize the importance of ethical AI use in publication-related processes. If authors, reviewers, or editors utilize AI to draft or review articles, they must adhere to the following principles:
- Transparency: If parts of an article or review were generated using AI, this must be clearly stated in the material to avoid misleading readers. Authors are required to declare the use of AI in the article, specifying it in the appropriate section or in the cover notes during submission.
- Ethical Use: AI should not replace genuine human judgment or analytical work. All significant scientific and peer-review decisions must be the result of human analysis.
- Accuracy and Integrity: Authors and reviewers must ensure that AI tools are not used to manipulate publication results or review outcomes.
CONFIDENTIALITY AND DATA PROTECTION
We underscore the importance of protecting confidential information and personal data, regardless of whether AI technologies are employed. When AI tools are used while handling scientific materials, all users must strictly adhere to confidentiality standards and refrain from violating the rights of authors, reviewers, or editors.
USER RESPONSIBILITY
Authors are obligated to use AI technologies ethically, without manipulating the results of their work or presenting AI-generated text as their own. They must clearly declare the use of any AI tools during the writing and preparation of their manuscripts.
Reviewers must ensure that the evaluation of materials is fair, objective, and based on their professional analysis, without over-reliance on AI tools.
Editors must ensure that all publications comply with ethical norms and, in cases involving AI, verify its use in accordance with the journal's policy.
POLICY UPDATES
We continuously monitor the development of AI technologies and will update this policy in accordance with changes in legislation and ethical standards. Any amendments will be published on our website; users are expected to review the updated terms before using AI.
