This article describes the clinical case of acute colonic bleeding and microperforation of the sigmoid colon in a patient with bilateral pyosalpinx. At primary operative intervention, diverticulosis of the vagmoid colon was not detected through an inflammatory infiltrate, which led to repeated surgical intervention with resection of the sigmoid colon and stoma.References
