The aim of the study was to improve the effi ciency of treatment of postoperative ventral hernias based on plastics, which
restores the anatomical and physiological properties of the anterior abdominal wall. It is shown that, following an intervention
by the improved method regardless of the location of the hernia defect were obtained encouraging results for the conservation
of muscle function of the anterior abdominal wall, in particular, the use of the modifi ed method of surgical treatment allowed
in 75 % of cases completely restoring functional ability of stomach muscles.
