The aim of the work: to analyze and characterize a clinical case of an adrenal cyst from the own experience.
An adrenal pseudocyst is a fibrous cyst devoid of an epithelial or endothelial lining. It affects mainly women, with a 3:1 incidence ratio compared to men. Typically, a pseudocyst occurs in the 3rd–4th decade of life as a result of hemorrhage into normal adrenal glands and can expand to accommodate a large amount of fluid. The work describes the case of a 49-year-old woman with hypertension and obesity, who complained of discomfort, a feeling of heaviness and pain in the abdomen, its increase in size over the past 8 years. After a computed tomography scan of the abdominal cavity, retroperitoneal space and pelvis, a hypodense area of a cyst-like shape was found.
