Abstract

The review is devoted to the problem of diagnosing benign tumors of the small intestine. The features of the clinical course of benign tumors of the small intestine and the possibilities of modern intrascopic technologies are analyzed. It is shown that clinical manifestations can be scarce and the diagnosis of benign tumors remains a difficult task. The frequency of detection of benign tumors in the work practice of the university clinic is 0.1 % of the number of applications.

Endoscopy of the stomach and colon, ultrasound examination and X-ray examination of the small intestine remain relevant as first-line measures in the diagnostic search. Enterography (and enteroclysis) with CT and MRI, as well as CT angiography and capsule endoscopy can be used as additional research methods. In recent years, systems using artificial intelligence technology have been used to analyze images obtained during endoscopy. The introduction of the latest technologies of intrascopic diagnostics allows to increase the frequency of detection of benign tumors.
