The aim of the work: to study the features of local immune reactions in the large intestine at removing different volumes of the liver parenchyma.
Materials and Methods. The local immune responses of the large intestine of 45 white male rats were studied: 15 intact animals, 30 rats after resection of the left lateral lobe – 31.5 % of the liver parenchyma and 30 animals after removal of the left and right lateral lobes – 58.1 %) of the liver parenchyma. The levels of secretory JgA, as well as the number of plasmоcytes-producing JgM, JgG, JgЕ were determined in the mucous membrane of the studied organ. Quantitative indicators were processed statistically.
Results and Discussion. Resection of 58.1 % of the liver parenchyma was found to lead to postresection portal hypertension and significant disturbances of local immune homeostasis of the large intestine, characterized by decreased levels of secretory JgA and the number plasmacytes with JgA, unbalanced growth and significant changes in the relationship between plasmacytes with JgM, JgG, JgE, the appearance of immune complexes in the stroma and blood vessels. The degree of changes in local immune responses correlates with the depth and prevalence of hemodynamic disorders, dystrophic, necrobiotic, infiltrative and sclerotic processes in the studied organ.
