The aim of the work: to improve the results of treatment of patients with adhesive obstruction by closing large areas of deserosation of the intestine with the parietal peritoneum.
Materials and Methods. The study was conducted in two stages. The first stage was an experiment in which animals (rabbits) were simulated acute bowel obstruction with the presence of large areas of deserosation. The second stage, clinical, included the analysis of the results of treatment of 57 patients with acute bowel obstruction.
Results and Discussion. In an experiment with a model of obstructive ileus with extensive deserosis of the intestinal wall, it was found that the closure of the damaged areas of the intestine by a flap of the peritoneum contributes to the restoration of the mesothelial layer as early as 7 days. The use of peritoneal autograft with large intestinal deserosations in the clinic allowed to reduce 5 times the number of postoperative complications, compared to those cases in which resection of the damaged segment was performed. The closure of large areas of deserosation of the flap of the autoperitoneum helps restore the physiological layer of the mesothelioma and avoids resection of the damaged areas, thereby reducing the number of postoperative complications.
