STATUS AND DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS OF THE PHARMACEUTICAL PRODUCTION OF MEDICINES BASED ON PLANTS

The aim of the work is to conduct an analysis of the formation of conditions for the development of the pharmaceutical sector, by increasing the efficiency of the use of the natural resource potential of the economy, in particular medicinal plant raw materials.
Materials and Methods. The domestic and international legal framework, scientific works of domestic and foreign scientists were studied by general scientific and special methods: analysis and synthesis – when studying the current state and development of the pharmaceutical industry in Ukraine, and abstract and logical – when forming conclusions.
Results and Discussion The favorable conditions for growing and harvesting medicinal plant raw materials in Ukraine are analyzed. Enterprises specializing in the manufacture of medicinal products from plant raw materials are listed. The requirements for the production of herbal medicinal products and the requirements for the cultivation and harvesting of medicinal plant raw materials were discussed. Marketing strategies and optimization of the capital structure of the pharmaceutical enterprise are substantiated. The peculiarities of the organization of pharmaceutical production of medicinal products from plant raw materials are outlined. Recommendations are given on the main directions of the development strategy for the production of medicinal products of herbal origin.
Сonclusions. Marketing strategies and optimization of the capital structure of the pharmaceutical enterprise are substantiated on the basis of the conducted research. Recommendations have been developed that should allow to increase the yield and quality of production of medicinal plant products, reduce the cost and labor intensity, and increase the profitability of production. On the basis of the obtained data, it is proposed to expand the production potential under the condition of interaction or clustering with enterprises of the agricultural sector for the cultivation of medicinal plants and procurement of medicinal plant raw materials. The main directions of the development strategy for the production of medicinal products of herbal origin have been developed.
