The aim of the work – to determine the problems of training of English-speaking foreign students studying in the field of dentistry, on the professional departments and to propose ways to solve them.
The main body. The complexity of teaching English-speaking foreign students is the need to carry out educational and cognitive activities by means of non-native language in a non-material and socio-cultural environment. Replacement of the informational approach of educational programs in dental disciplines to competence involves the formation of an English-speaking student’s readiness to use the acquired knowledge and skills to solve practical problems in the process of further professional activity.
Conclusion. In today’s conditions, providing a practically oriented approach to English-speaking students in dentistry allows for discrete delivery of material, increased visualization of the learning process, and the use of simulation technologies for mastering practical skills.
