INDUSTRY-ORIENTED APPROACH TO TEACHING THE UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE FOR PROFESSIONAL PURPOSES IN HIGHER MEDICAL EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS: CONCEPT, STRUCTURE, NEW EDUCATIONAL SOLUTIONS

Abstract. The article discusses the concept of an industry-oriented approach to teaching Ukrainian for professional purposes in higher medical education institutions. It emphasizes the relevance of updating the content of language training in line with modern communication requirements in the healthcare sector, where effective interaction between specialists takes place in the context of public professional activity. It is argued that universal approaches to teaching no longer provide the necessary level of practical competence for students, therefore a course model oriented towards specific professional contexts – pharmaceutical, psychological, and others – is proposed. The principles of selecting tasks using terminological vocabulary, professional communication situations, and typical language models of professional communication are described in detail. Particular attention is paid to the formation of self-presentation and electronic correspondence skills as new components of the course, reflecting the real needs of modern medical workers in public and remote communication. The leading role of the philology teacher in organizing the educational process is emphasized, since it is the teacher who can provide the only correct version of a linguistic unit, encourage exemplary professional Ukrainian speech, and contribute to raising the prestige of the state language in the medical environment. It has been proven that raising the status of the Ukrainian language in higher medical education is not only a pedagogical but also a strategic task aimed at developing national identity, professional communication culture, and training competitive specialists.
