THE ESSENCE AND SIGNIFICANCE OF PATRIOTIC EDUCATION IN THE FORMATION OF PROFESSIONAL ETHICS OF A FUTURE MEDICAL SPECIALIST

Abstract. The article reveals the essence and significance of patriotic education in the formation of professional ethics of a future medical specialist. The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that future medical specialists, in addition to professional knowledge, must be carriers of high moral principles, such as humanity, compassion, responsibility. Patriotic education helps to integrate these values into professional ethics, forming a conscious attitude towards their duties to society. It has been found that the essence of patriotic education is to create conditions for instilling in higher education students a high level of responsibility for their future professional activities and the social benefit of their work. This process encompasses the formation of civic consciousness, moral stability, social responsibility, and empathy. It is noted that the importance of patriotic education in the medical field lies in the formation of stable moral guidelines that ensure honesty, responsibility, and dedication to the profession. The main aspects of patriotic education that contribute to the formation of a stable professional ethics of medical workers, increase their moral responsibility and motivation to perform their professional duties qualitatively are highlighted: fostering a sense of responsibility for the health of the nation; forming moral values; developing professional pride and self-respect; respecting the traditions and history of medicine; promoting an ethical attitude towards patients; increasing readiness for self-sacrifice and assistance in crisis situations; forming a team spirit and collegiality; motivating for self-improvement; developing professional identity; strengthening moral and psychological resilience. It has been stated that to achieve maximum efficiency of this process it is necessary to take into account the individual characteristics of young people, their life values and worldviews. Avoiding formalism in educational work is key, because mechanical repetition of standards does not ensure deep assimilation of moral norms. It is concluded that patriotic education plays an important role in the formation of professional ethics of a future medical specialist. It contributes to the development of responsibility, humanism and willingness to help others, which are key features of a medical worker. Patriotism, as a component of civic consciousness, forms a sense of duty to society and the state in a future medical specialist, which increases the level of professional motivation and responsibility.
