Abstract

Abstract. A comprehensive study of the problem of the terminological competence of future dermatologists is considered in this paper. The importance of professional terminology for medical science is emphasized. The relevance of forming the skills of competent formulation of the diagnosis and standardization of its writing in Latin for the future dermatologist is revealed. In the process of research the structure of clinical terms with the components “cutis” and “derma” was characterized. Based on the structural-semantic specificity of the selected terms, four lexical-semantic groups were formed. It is justified that in the nomenclature of dermatology, affixal methods of term formation are often used. The meaning of the terms formed by the suffix method was analyzed. It is emphasized that understanding the etymology of clinical terms contributes to their better memorization and use in practical activities. The methods of educational activities that contribute to the formation of terminological competence of the future dermatologist are analyzed.
