The article is devoted to the experience of forming a curriculum and organizing practical classes in the discipline “Examination and determination of patientʼs status” for second-year paramedic students. In the context of the absence of Ukrainian-language textbooks about patient examination at the prehospital stage, the recommendations of the European Resuscitation Council and English-language textbooks intended for paramedics were used. The importance of mastering the skills and knowledge that help in providing care during emergencies is emphasized, which is key for paramedics, on whom people's lives may depend.
It is described that the structure of the curriculum and the methodology of organizing the learning process are aimed at improving the acquisition of knowledge and developing the skills necessary for successful practical activity of a paramedic. The use of adapted video materials and simulation training allows students to better absorb the material and develop practical skills in conditions as close to real life as possible. It is noted that this approach can help reduce the likelihood of errors in future work, increase student motivation and increase their interest in learning.
In addition, the need for further research is noted to conduct a comparative analysis of different teaching methods, assess the impact of the learning environment and analyze the effectiveness of curricula on the training of future healthcare professionals. Such studies can further improve the quality of training of future paramedics.
