UKRAINIAN SCIENTIFIC SPEECH IN THE CONTEXT OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE SPECIALISTS

Abstract

The article reveals the importance of Ukrainian scientific speech for the process of professional training of future professionals. Indicated factors that actualize the problem of ecology of the Ukrainian scientific language. The typical mistakes that occur in student research are highlighted works (abstracts, abstracts, essays, articles, projects, term papers, dissertations works, etc.). It is concluded that many of these errors occur under influence of the Russian language, incorrect translation. The course “Ukrainian scientific speech” is offered by the authors as a compulsory discipline for bachelors / masters, future degree seekers. In the process of its study students must learn correctly (according to norms of the modern Ukrainian language) to build a scientific statement - oral and writing, be able to present the results of scientific research, own Ukrainian scientific speech etiquette, be able to lead a scientific discussion, to speak in front of a scholarly audience, to build an academic speech, to know features of its composition, rhetorical skills, etc.

The purpose and tasks of this discipline are defined; knowledge and skills that must be formed in future professionals during their studies are singled out. Emphasis is placed on the practical significance of the course “Ukrainian scientific speech”. We highlighted the experience of formation of professional skills in the field of Ukrainian scientific speech during the students’ training course “Successful scientific public speaking and means of overcoming fear of the audience”. It is emphasized that the applicant for higher education should first of all be motivated to master the laws of Ukrainian scientific speech. He must become a linguistic ecologist of his own scientific texts, must be able to edit and correctly translate scientific texts into Ukrainian, to build a scientific speech, to have academic eloquence, to have knowledge of rhetoric, heuristics, etc. Ukrainian Scientific Speech Course forms the national-linguistic personality of the future specialist as the future Ukrainian scientist.
