THE SYSTEM OF DISTANCE LEARNING AT THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL CHEMISTRY

Distance learning is the interactive cooperation between the teacher and students and between them and an interactive source of information resource (web-page), which reflects all the components of the educational process carried out at the conditions of implementation of the means of information and computer technologies (computer visualization educational information, information retrieval activity, automation of the processes of information and methodological support). The article considered the basic concepts and characteristic features of distance learning at the university, which involves the using of two forms: synchronous and asynchronous. Rationale the relevance of using of distance technologies in learning. The article highlighted the advantages of distance learning for students: free schedule of classes; simultaneous conducting of learning from several disciplines is possible in different educational institutions; using of audio and video materials, multimedia. The main emphasis done on the peculiarities of organizing distance learning at the department with the help of modern technologies and multimedia,that realized by three components: lectures (presentations and videos); practical classes (testing in the Moodle system); the communication between a teacher and a student.
Successful creation and using of distance education at the Department of General Chemistry contributes to the significant expansion of potential students, the introduction of new technologies for the transfer of educational information and the improvement of pedagogical skills of the department staff.
