Abstract

The aim of the work to show the image of a true doctor, surgeon in particular.

The main body. Nature is the best doctor, but over the years a lot of things has changed. Significant achievements of modern science, technological progress undoubtedly lead to continuous improvement of new methods of research, diagnosis and treatment. The training of physicians is based on the study of physics and chemistry, anatomy and physiology, since these sciences are crucial in the further activity of the physician. However, you need knowledge of psychology. In shaping the outlook of future physicians, the knowledge of the patient’s body and his psyche is equally needed. The focus of psychology is the question of the relationship between the patient and the environment of the treatment institution: the relationship between the physician and the patient, the nurse and the patient, that is, the doctor – nurse – patient. Based on the remarks of prominent people, coryphaeus of medicine, patients, ordinary people and their own long-term observations, the image of true doctors, which they are and should be, is shown.

Conclusions. The work of a doctor, in particular a surgeon, is extremely responsible and difficult, requiring constant casualties. The doctor is a lit candle: “Shining to others I burn myself”. And many doctors remain faithful to this will until the last minutes of their lives. Surgery is a hard work, it’s art, and its performer is a true wizard, who, with a weighted, solid, confident movement, returns the most valuable gift to the patient, his life.
