Abstract

Abstract. The importance of presenting the basic principles of the complex and integrative approach to teaching forensic medicine and medical law for the formation of the professional identity of future specialists in the specialty 222 “Medicine” is substantiated. It has been established that a complex and integrative approach to the organization of the educational process for future doctors consists of a logical sequence of teaching educational disciplines: fundamental and general medical courses in junior courses, and specialized clinical courses in senior courses. Furthermore, it has been established that the main factor in the successful achievement of program learning outcomes using a complex and integrative approach is a certain methodology for developing the educational discipline “Forensic Medicine. Medical Law of Ukraine”, which involves a thorough systematization and generalization of educational material belonging to various fields of knowledge - medicine and jurisprudence. The positive and negative aspects of the complex and integrative approach to teaching forensic medicine and medical law for students of higher medical education are highlighted. It has been established that the application of a complex and integrative approach during the teaching of the educational discipline “Forensic Medicine. Medical Law of Ukraine” allows the full achievement of program learning outcomes, promotes the formation of appropriate practical skills both from the side of forensic and medical expert activity, and in the field of medical law. Further, innovative methods, such as e-learning modules, virtual reality simulators, and artificial intelligence systems, should be introduced into the educational process to improve the teaching of the discipline “Forensic Medicine. Medical Law of Ukraine”. Furthermore, the need to create a separate department of forensic medicine and medical law at TNMU with a team of certified scientific and pedagogical personnel who have obtained professional education and have a high level of professional qualification is substantiated.
