Abstract

The aim of the work – to study the effectiveness and the informativity of using of test control in assessing the knowledge level, skills and competencies of junior medical specialists during their study.

The main body. The article summarizes the experience of the pedagogical team in using various types and methods of applying the test control of knowledge and skills at the stage of postgraduate education of junior medical specialists. Tests are an important part in the system of control of knowledge and skills, and one of the methods of a complex estimation of quality of training of listeners. Testing has significant advantages over other forms of control: involves controlling a large amount of material; requires little time resources for conducting and verifying; relatively simple in the organization, which makes it possible to simplify the control procedure – from its preparation and implementation to review and analysis, as well as to free up time for practical work in the class. The evaluation of professional knowledge and skills of students by testing (applied both as blank and computer) is that way in which the most efficient uses of auditorium time and ensures the efficiency of obtaining speed results.

Conclusion. The presented our materials showed that the combination of verification through test control with other methods and techniques contributes to the development of the professional competencies of listeners, activates motivation for knowledge, stimulates self-education, promotes the development of professional competencies of students, which increases competitiveness of junior medical specialists.
