THE ROLE OF INNOVATIVE TECHNOLOGIES IN THE EDUCATION OF THE CYCLE “SURGERY” FOR THE VI COURSE STUDENTS OF MEDICAL FACULTY

The aim of the work – to determine the expediency of introduction of innovative technologies and interactive methods of study by the VI course students on the cycle of Surgery.
The main body. The work represents the modern innovative technologies and interactive methods of training on the cycle “Surgery” by the VI course students, according to a temporary, comprehensive course program on the subject for the II-VI course of study (2015), and thematic plans for practical classes and self-study work developed on the basis of this program by the academic team of the Department of Surgery No. 2 and Cardiosurgery on the content module 21 “Clinical Manifestations of Surgical Diseases”. There are 93 classroom hours for the study of 15 themes of syndrome manifestations of acute surgical pathology and abdominal and chest tract injuries, and 76 hours of self-study work of students, which involves study (10 themes) of visual instrumental and differential diagnostics, of individual surgical diseases. Totally there are 169 hours. The main three basic directions of optimization of teaching and introduction of innovative, interactive modern forms are determined: (in the study classroom) the capture of problem practical classes with video-presentations, technologies of situational study (case-situations), test system of knowledge assessment; (in the workout room) the mastering of skills on the mannequins by the de nition of pathognomonic symptoms and professional manipulations and, nally, (at the bed of the patient) the acquisition of the methods of examination, skills, knowledge, professional manipulations in diagnostics and provision of urgent care to patients with the surgical pathology.
Conclusions. Innovative technologies and interactive methods of study realize more effective practical training in surgery, and the exam – KROK 2, improving the effectiveness of training by 2–3 times.
