Abstract. In connection with military conflicts and their consequences for public health, the training of rehabilitation specialists is of particular importance. The article is devoted to the analysis of new challenges facing the medical education system, in particular in the training of rehabilitation students. The specific skills and knowledge necessary to provide quality care to patients who have suffered physical and psychological trauma as a result of hostilities are highlighted. The key aspects of training rehabilitation therapists to work in martial law and the post-war period are considered, including intensive training in tactical medicine, physical rehabilitation techniques for limb injuries, neurorehabilitation, and work with patients with post-traumatic stress disorders. Particular attention is paid to the importance of an interdisciplinary approach in rehabilitation practice and the need to integrate modern technologies, such as telemedicine, virtual reality and simulation training, into the educational process. The problems of staffing and training of teachers who must have specialized knowledge to teach students in these difficult conditions are also discussed. Recommendations are offered for adapting curricula to meet the new requirements that have arisen as a result of hostilities in order to increase the effectiveness of rehabilitation assistance and ensure the full integration of victims into society after the conflict. Thus, the article emphasizes the need to modernize training programs for rehabilitation therapists to ensure their readiness for the challenges of today and to contribute to the restoration of public health after the war.
