Abstract

The organization of the educational process at the Department of Dental Surgery under the conditions of martial law has become a real challenge in the context of a full-scale military conflict that has erupted on the territory of Ukraine since the beginning of full-scale russian aggression in 2022. This situation forced the university to adapt its teaching methods and strategies according to the requirements of the times.

The purpose of the article is to describe the main approaches to the educational process that occurred during the military conflict and provoked an urgent need to focus on the safety of all participants in the educational process and the effectiveness of knowledge transfer.

Various aspects of the impact of the war on students and educational institutions, as well as the main points of education during the war and its organization, are analyzed and summarized.

Information is presented regarding the changes and implementations that took place directly at the Department of Dental Surgery of the I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.

It was concluded that the educational process during the war is significantly complicated and significantly affects all aspects of life. War leads to changes in society, economy and infrastructure, which, in turn, has a significant impact on the education system. In the conditions of martial law, one of the priority tasks of the state is to preserve the life and health of all its citizens, including students, and to ensure continuous access to education.
