MONITORING OF EDUCATIONAL CONTENT UPDATES OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROFESSIONAL PROGRAM OF GENERAL MEDICINE FOR THE 2023–2024 ACADEMIC YEAR

Ensuring the quality of higher education requires a systematic approach to the development, implementation and evaluation of educational programs aimed at ensuring compliance with existing educational standards and the needs of society. In I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University, educational programs in medical specialties are annually reviewed and updated. Important aspects of this monitoring are the analysis of the relevance of programs, their content and compliance with the expectations of education seekers and employers. The purpose of this work is to study and analyze the implementation of updates in the educational and professional program “General Medicine”. The conducted analysis showed that the modernization of educational content is carried out taking into account the reform of the health care system, the presence of priority diseases and conditions, the state of war and the epidemiological situation in Ukraine, the updating of domestic and foreign guidelines and standards of treatment, as well as the introduction of innovative health care technologies. Monitoring is carried out with the involvement of both internal and external stakeholders through surveys, testing and interviews of teaching staff, students, graduates, employers; observation of the educational process; obtaining data and their analysis regarding the current state of the higher education system; study and analysis of documents of the institution of higher education. This makes it possible to identify problems and possible deviations from the standards of higher education, as well as timely correct the institution's activities to improve the quality of the studentʼs training. Thus, the monitoring procedure for the educational process is an integral component of the system of management and quality assurance of higher education, which makes it possible to identify problematic issues regarding the provision of the educational process and will subsequently increase the quality of higher education taking into account the requirements of stakeholders.
