Abstract

Education is a dynamic process and should be based on advanced teaching and learning strategies, taking into account and meeting the needs of the education seekers.

Developed and implemented at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University educational program in specialty 222 Medicine, branch of knowledge 22 Health Care, in accordance with the Standard of Higher Medical Education, is implemented with the aim of training highly qualified and competitive specialists in the field of medicine who are able to apply the acquired knowledge, abilities, skills for solving typical and complex problems in the context of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of human diseases.

In order to achieve the programmatic learning outcomes, the logically structured matrix of educational program provides the study of the main and optional components during all years of study. Mastery of general and professional competences is facilitated by the option of optional subjects provided in the program, in particular, in the 6th year of the “Obstetrics and Gynecology” profile for the students, who plan to choose this specialty in the future.

This article is devoted to the assessment of debatable issues regarding the role of modern teaching and learning tools in order to achieve the programmatic results of the educational process in the specialty “Obstetrics and Gynecology”.
