The article is devoted to the creative phenomenon reconstruction and interpretation of P. Biletsky-Nosenko in order to prove its historical-cultural, social-national and scientific-aesthetic significance. The multi-genre and polythematic heritage of P. Biletsky-Nosenko was analyzed taking into account the complex socio-political realities of the era, which shaped him as a person, an artist, a teacher-innovator, a citizen and an active and constructive member of society with determined national position. The involvement of biographical discourse and the use of the chronological analysis method made it possible to follow the personal and creative evolution of the author, his aesthetic and national-moral views shaping specifics that were realized in original works, translations, retellings, ethnographic works and, as a result, ended with Ukrainian grammar and dictionary of the Ukrainian language.
