Abstract. The scientific article analyses the effectiveness of rehabilitation nurses' training in Ukraine in the context of the development of the modern rehabilitation care system. The authors of the article emphasis the role of nurses in providing qualified care and support to patients, especially in the context of the military conflict in Ukraine in 2022. Changes in the concept of nursing, which involve more active involvement of patients in their own health, require revision of educational programmers and training of rehabilitation nurses. The main purpose of the study is to determine the current state of training, assess the relevance of educational programmers to modern practice and identify possible ways to improve the educational process.
The article discusses the importance of introducing new educational programmes to train competent rehabilitation nurses, in particular in the context of changes to the National Classifier of Occupations and the introduction of the specialisation “Rehabilitation Nurse”. For the successful development of rehabilitation nursing in Ukraine, it is important to analyse the scientific achievements of domestic specialists and curricula. The study revealed a fragmentary study of the development of rehabilitation nursing in Ukraine.
The article notes that rehabilitation nursing is a specialised field created to help people recover and adapt their functional capabilities to a new life. To achieve success, it is necessary to implement global practices and educational programmes in rehabilitation nursing, which are already successfully operating in Europe and America. Further research could include studying the role of nurses in the rehabilitation team, developing continuing education programmes for rehabilitation nurses, and evaluating the impact of rehabilitation nursing on improving client functioning.
