Abstract

Abstract. The article discusses the modern demand for higher medical education in forming a competent specialist who will be capable of providing quality medical care, demonstrating leadership qualities, working cohesively in a team, exhibiting critical thinking and creativity in independent decision-making, while remaining compassionate and merciful. The implementation of a unified approach throughout the master's, residency, and continuing education system of “Soft Skills + Hard Skills” will allow for a qualitatively new level of communication in the field of healthcare.

With the growth of generations from X to Z with different values and worldviews that have been shaped under the influence of technological and informational progress, the learning process requires a complete renewal of academic behavior. The format of non-academic skills, which includes behavioral reactions towards others and controlled emotional management in the process of learning and professional realization, becomes increasingly relevant. Soft skills contribute to the success of an individual and are not knowledge or skills that are directly acquired through the learning process.

Y generation students pursuing higher medical education have an academic behavior that significantly differs from previous generations. Their demands for education providers encompass a wide range of modifications in behavioral reactions and urge the development of interpersonal communication skills, taking into account the intrapersonal component. Such learning should have a continuous nature.
