Abstract. It is substantiated that one of the effective methods of improving the quality of education is the achievement of programmatic learning outcomes in the process of training students of higher medical education in the conditions of mixed education. Some features of the modernization of the educational process in institutions of higher medical education during the training of future specialists in the medical field have been studied. Some aspects of improving the forms, means and methods of formation of skills and abilities in humanitarian disciplines during the training of medical students and their acquisition of general and professional competencies are considered. The positive features of mixed education are highlighted, where future medical professionals have at least some control over when, where and how they work, using technology for personalization and methodological instructions for practical training or their independent work. This provides an integrated learning experience, that is, remote and face-to-face instruction are essentially aligned. It was found that the main task of teachers in the organization of the educational process at the theoretical department in the conditions of online learning is the search for new educational technologies that contribute to the formation of the professional identity of future specialists in the medical field, the development of their professional competence on the basis of interdisciplinary integration, and the ability to quickly solve problem situations. It has been proven that the use of the case method together with other educational technologies ensures the proper organization of the educational process by the teacher of theoretical disciplines in the institution of higher medical education. Since the achievement of learning program results in the conditions of mixed education requires a comprehensive approach to the teaching of an educational discipline from the teacher (identification of current issues, targeted assessment of needs, formulation of learning goals and objectives, selection of educational strategies, implementation, evaluation and feedback; adaptation of the specified to online teaching). It was found that the introduction of a mixed form of education in institutions of higher medical education requires the dynamic development of new means and mechanisms for the organization of the educational process.
