Abstract. The main goal of training future doctors is the systematic formation and development of clinical thinking as the basis of professional creative activity, as the quintessence of high general intellectual potential. The systematic development of the clinical thinking of future doctors involves a comprehensive approach to the formation of professional knowledge and skills, the active application of problem-based learning methods in lectures, practical classes and during the independent work of medical students. Problem-based learning methods involve the active participation of students in the learning process and solving real problems in a certain area of knowledge.
Thus, the use of problem-based learning methods for the systematic formation and development of the clinical thinking of future doctors is a rational and promising process that requires further development and widespread application.
